DJI Mic 2 Review! But...

In this episode we discuss some speed bumps we’ve encountered while researching and testing out the DJI Mic 2 during our usual in-depth review process. Something isn’t sounding right so we contacted DJI and their engineers said that there is a bug that they’ll fix in an upcoming firmware update. We’ll finish our review when that firmware ships. A brief update on the in-progress DJI Mic 2 review: the feature set is genuinely impressive — 32-bit float recording on the transmitters, direct Bluetooth transmission to a phone, direct transmission to the DJI Pocket 3, and a nice new control dial — but testing surfaced an audio quality problem in one particular recording (sample played for listeners to judge). After reporting this to a DJI contact, their engineers reviewed it over several days and confirmed it’s a bug that will be addressed in a firmware update.
This is not the final verdict on the system, and it’s not being characterized as a bad product — DJI is being given the opportunity to fix it, and the full review will resume once the new firmware ships. Get out there, make some great sound. Talk to you next time.
