Live Sound for Video Session: Accentize VoiceGate & Q&A

Hello Soundies! In this week's Sound for Video Session we demonstrated a new dialogue de-noise plugin which evidently uses neural networks to more effectively separate voice from noise. We ran a few different audio clips through the plugin to show where it excels and where it is not quite as effective. You can find out more about the VoiceGate plugin at https://www.accentize.com. Full disclosure - Accentize gave me a free license to demonstrate this plugin. I do not earn any money from purchases of VoiceGate.

DEITY HD TX Wireless XLR Transmitter for the DEITY Connect System

In today’s episode, we have an in-depth look at the DEITY HD-TX wireless microphone transmitter. This transmitter allows you to wireless transmit the audio from your pro-level XLR microphones such as shotgun or boom microphones. It can also record the audio to microSD card while transmitting (outside of the US) or be used as a recorder instead of a wireless transmitter (in the US). From my tests here, it looks like the DEITY Connect system has made some nice improvements, especially now with an XLR transmitter!

If you’d like to learn how to make great dialogue audio for your film and video projects, please have a look at my courses at including processing dialogue audio in Adobe Audition and DaVinci Resolve/Fairlight, recording sound, how to use the Zoom F4, F8, and F8n, and how to get the most from the Sound Devices MixPre series of recorders.
