Sound for Video Session: MixPre Mix-Minus & Q&A

In this week's session, we cover how to set up a mix-minus on a Sound Devices MixPre and then answer your questions. What is a mix-minus? It is just a way to setup your recorder so that you can record a remote guest or host as well as yourself and others with your recorder. In this case, we show how to do this with the MixPre-3 from Sound Devices, assuming the remote guest will be dialed in via Skype on your computer or tablet.

If you’d like to learn how to make great dialogue audio for your film and video projects, please have a look at my courses including how to process dialogue audio in Adobe Audition and DaVinci Resolve/Fairlight, recording sound, how to use the Zoom F4, F8, and F8n, and how to get the most from the Sound Devices MixPre series of recorders.
