Record Audio Directly into DaVinci Resolve Fairlight!

This week’s episode is a quick tutorial covering how to set up and record audio directly into DaVinci Resolve! This can help simplify your voiceover and podcast signal chain and workflow all the way from setup to post-production. First we’ll show you how to configure your system audio settings, then how to properly route your signal into audio tracks in Resolve, and finally walk through how to actually record and make the most of the controls available to you in Fairlight. Let’s see how it’s done!

If you’d like to learn how to make great dialogue audio for your film and video projects, please have a look at my courses including processing dialogue audio in Adobe Audition and DaVinci Resolve/Fairlight, recording sound, how to use the Zoom F4, F6, F8, and F8n, and how to get the most from the Sound Devices MixPre series of recorders. Our latest courses cover Sound for Live Streaming with the ATEM Mini and an Intro to Izotope RX.
