Godox VDS M3 Shotgun Microphone
In this week’s episode, we have a look at the Godox VDS-M3 shotgun microphone. This supercardioid condenser microphone has a directional pickup pattern, an inbuilt battery, a high-pass filter, a -10dB pad, and a high-frequency boost. It also conveniently charges via USB-C to 220 hours of run time on a full battery. In this video we go over the microphone’s feature set and compare its sound to mics of similar design. Let’s take a closer look!
My reviews of the other microphones I recommend in the $300 - $400 USD price range:

Godox WMicS1 Dual Channel Wireless Microphone System - Budget Consumer Grade System
In this episode, we have a look at and listen to the Godox WMicS1 UHF wireless microphone system. This budget wireless microphone system features a dual channel receiver and you can buy it in a kit with two transmitters. You can also add a handheld wireless interview microphone later. What differentiates this from the slew of other dual channel consumer wireless systems is that the Godox WMicS1 transmits over a Wideband range of frequencies (514 -596MHz) This frequency can, in theory, transmit through barriers more readily than the 2.4GHz used by most other consumer wireless systems. And perhaps more importantly, you can tune each transmitter to one of 96 channels. You cannot do that with the 2.4GHz consumer wireless systems. Let’s have a look at how it works in real-world conditions!

Godox ML60 Small, Single-point LED Light
In today’s episode, we have a detailed look at the small, very portable Godox ML60 LED Light. This is miniature version of the COB single-point-source LED lights like the Godox SL or VL series. This one is made for smaller jobs like a head and shoulders talking head key light, hair light, rim light, or background light. Its reasonable price make it a great option for those on a budget who need good color quality and a small soft or flood light which can fit in tight spaces.
